This recently came into my inbox and looks really interesting:
The Parliamentary Internship Programme (PIP) of the Canadian Political Science Association (CPSA) is currently accepting applications for the 2013-14 Intern Year (deadline: January 31, 2013). It is an outstanding work-study opportunity for Canadian university graduates in all fields.
The Programme offers a paid ($22,000) 10-month internship that gives Interns the opportunity to work for MPs on both sides of the House of Commons, participate in a weekly seminar, produce an original research paper and undertake comparative study tours to legislatures in Brussels, Iqaluit, London, Québec City and Washington. It is strictly independent of government and non-partisan. All Canadians with a university degree are eligible to apply.
The attached document, promoting the Programme, may be circulated to faculty, student organizations, copied in newsletters or posted on websites and bulletin boards.
Please encourage your students to visit the PIP Website (www.pip-psp.org) and submit an application before January 31, 2013. It is an unforgettable year and provides invaluable practical experience for students seeking either academic or professional careers.
Full information to apply can be found on the PIP website on this page.
